Emma explains it all (the numbers episode).

Yes, two year olds CAN take their own shoes off. And you would be surprised how many of them can put them on by themselves as well! This is an activity rich in fine and gross motor practice.

We found a rushing stream of water on our walk!! When I dropped a leaf into the current to watch it zoom away, the kids became entranced. We spent around 20 minutes dropping leaves in and guessing which leaf would go fastest.

Our footprint ghosts were fun and hilarious to create. The kids kept looking at Leda and myself as though to ask "Are you sure we should be doing this??"

Ellio initiated, starred in, and exquisitely executed a raucous and passionate one man show. This made my day.

The most captivating musical instruments are often the ones we make ourselves. The kids LOVED this activity.

Sensory experiences are everywhere, but few are as slimy as the insides of pumpkins.

Painting pumkins.

Plant life never ceases to capture our attention and admiration.

Teddy insists on holding his balloon, even while playing piano.

Autoharp lessons.

Our beloved "Jumpy jump" song is even more exciting when we add balloons.

Nolan takes a break.

Small spaces call for creative gross motor opportunities. We turn my sofa into a jungle gym from time to time.
